Kishwaukee United Way’s Annual Day of Caring is this Thursday, June 18 2015. Day of Caring is an organized day of service during which volunteers visit, assist, and complete projects at a variety of our community’s non-profit agencies. Each agency submits requests for volunteer help on a broad variety of projects ranging from reading to children, delivering meals to the elderly, repairing and painting houses, planting gardens, and refurbishing agency offices. Project locations vary throughout the day. With numerous projects requiring a good number of volunteers, they need you and your organization’s participation to make this year successful!
The Event Kick-off is at DeKalb Park District’s Hopkins Park (1403 Sycamore Road) at 8:15 am this Thursday, June 18th. For more information, contact Dawn Littlefield or Jackie DiNatale by phone at (815) 756-7522 or e-mail at dawn@kishwaukeeunitedway.com.
