The Kishwaukee Sunrise Rotary Club is asking the community to assist in re-stocking the DeKalb and Sycamore Food pantries. Non-perishable food items including canned and boxed goods as well baby items such as diapers and baby food are needed. Cash donations can also be made by writing a check to Kishwaukee Sunrise Rotary.
“Members of our club have expressed a desire to help re-stock the area food pantries during these difficult economic times.” said John Jencks, Kishwaukee Sunrise Rotary food drive coordinator. “We are creating drop off sites at numerous DeKalb and Sycamore businesses to make it easy for individuals to make a donation.”
Kishwaukee Sunrise Rotary club members have volunteered their businesses to serve as collection sites and have pledged to supplement the donations to assure that the food drive is a success. The Rotary food drive will take place from April 27 to May 11, 2015. Questions about this event can be directed to John Jencks at 303-884-4054.
