The Kishwaukee Bike Path continues to progress quickly. With tree and brush clearing
complete, the contractor continues to excavate the path north along the river.
As excavation progresses north, another crew tails the excavator laying aggregate
base. The path is 10 feet wide with two feet of additional landscaping on each side of
the path. Landscaping restorations begin spring 2018.
In addition, this week, contractors concluded installing silt fencing along the river and
newly paved path. Silt fencing protects water quality from soil erosion.
