KishHealth System Physical Therapy 5K Run/Walk Saturday

KishHealth System Physical Therapy Center is hosting its 8th annual 5K run/walk event this Saturday, May 30th, 2015 at 8:00 am. The event is intended to be both competitive as well as promote health and fitness for the local community. Proceeds will be donated to Adventure Works of DeKalb Co. Inc.

The run/walk will start and end at the Physical Therapy Center, 2111 Midlands Court, in Sycamore. The course is flat and follows city streets. Volunteers will control traffic and direct runners. Water will be available on the course. Split time to be given at each mile. View the race course map.

Event day registration and packet pick up will be available from 6:45 – 7:45 am on race day. Registration closes at 7:45 am and the run/walk begins promptly at 8:00 am. Pre-registered runners are guaranteed a race T-shirt. Event day registrants will receive a T-shirt, while supplies last.

Refreshments served to all participants both pre and post-race. There will also be stretching, massages, a raffle, music and awards for winners.  Awards to be given to the overall male and female winners, plus the top three male and female runners in the following age groups: 14 & under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+. Run/walk results will be posted on the KishHealth website after the event. RaceTime will provide instant finish results. Physical Therapy Center staff will be available for post-event stretching and massage.
