The Art Box in DeKalb is hosting an exhibition of Kishwaukee College students’ works titled Kishwaukee College Student Print, through November 10. The Art Box is located at 308 East Lincoln Highway in DeKalb and is open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 11:00a.m. – 6:00p.m. The Art Box is free and open to the public.
This is the fourth year the Art Box has featured the printmaking and photography works of Kishwaukee College students. The exhibition features 23 works and includes intaglio prints (mezzotints, aquatints and etchings), photography (both silver gelatin prints and digital) and monotype. Students with works in the show are Kate Ahlgren, Jacob Alvarez, Sam Buckner, Melinda Davis, Denis Elwart, Rogelio Godinez, Jessica Lenker, Andrea Oleson, Bryce Parker, Haley Puffenbarger, Jacob Reaves, and Brandon Smith. All are students of Kishwaukee College Art Instructor Robert Davis, whose work is also included in the show. Davis holds a Master of Fine Arts graduate in printmaking from Northern Illinois University and teaches photography and printmaking at Kishwaukee College.
