Kishwaukee College Softball will be holding a two-day softball camp for girls on Friday, September 22 from 4-6:30p.m. and Saturday, September 23 from 10:00a.m.-12:30p.m. at the softball field on campus. Rain date, if needed, is Sunday, September 24. Cost of the camp is $50 per player. Space is limited and early registration is recommended.
The camp is for girls who are in grades 5 – 8 this fall. The camp will focus on improving both defensive and offensive skills with emphasis on hitting, defense, pitching techniques, base-running and will include scrimmages. Campers should wear proper softball attire (players will slide) and softball cleats/spikes. Campers should also bring water and a towel.
The Kougar Softball Camp will be led by Kish Head Softball Coach Carolyn Nojiri and members of the 2017- 18 Kougar team. Nojiri played second base and outfield in high school, but concentrated her skills in the outfield during her college career at Lewis University. While at Lewis, Nojiri received Second Team All-Conference Accolades during her freshman and sophomore years. She has also played travel ball with the Downers Grove Outlaws. Post-college, she coached in clinics and camps in South Africa as well as in camps in Illinois.

remind me again why Community colleges have sport teams? Look at where the money could go to more classes to further education.
