Kishwaukee College Women’s Basketball will be holding a three-day basketball camp for girls on Monday – Wednesday, August 7- 9, from 1- 3:00p.m. in the gym on campus. Cost of the camp is $50 per player. Space is limited and early registration is recommended.
The camp is for girls who will be entering grades 5 – 8 in the Fall 2017 – 18 school year. The camp will focus on improving both defensive and offensive skills with emphasis on shooting, ball-handling, passing, defense, and rebounding. There will be individual instruction. All campers will also receive a free t-shirt at the conclusion of the camp.
The Lady Kougar Girls’ Basketball Camp will be led by Kish Head Women’s Basketball Coach Krystal Gundy and members of the 2017- 18 Kougar team. Gundy was named the Head Women’s Basketball Coach in June. She comes to Kish from Rend Lake Community College, where she was the Assistant WBB Coach in 2014 and assumed the Head Coach position for the 2015 – 17 seasons. Gundy played in college at Lakeland Community College and then MacMurray College. Post-college, she played semi-pro ball in St. Louis with the Arch Angels in the Women’s Blue Chip Basketball League.
Campers should wear gym shorts, t-shirt, socks and basketball shoes and should bring water and a towel.
