Kishwaukee College and the DeKalb County Nonprofit Partnership (DCNP) are partnering to offer a free QuickBooks 101 class for nonprofit professionals on November 8, from 2:00 – 5:00p.m. in Room A1221 at the College. Participants should park in Lot A/South and enter through Door #16. Registration for QuickBooks 101 is required.
The Quickbooks 101 class is the latest collaborative offering by Kishwaukee College and DCNP to support local nonprofits by providing specialized training and programming that support NFPs unique needs. The Quickbooks 101 class is free for nonprofits through the generous support of First Midwest Bank, through a fund administered by the Kishwaukee College Foundation.
QuickBooks is an accounting software that is designed for small and medium-size businesses and is often used by nonprofit organizations to efficiently and effectively record financial activity. The QuickBooks 101 class will cover basic set-up and functions, customer and sales transactions, vendor and expense transactions, banking and list items.
The QuickBooks 101 class will be taught by Dawn Heid, owner of Profit Partners Consulting, Inc. Profit Partners Consulting, Inc. is an accounting firm offering QuickBooks training and assistance along with bookkeeping services for local small businesses. Profit Partners offers essential small business services such as onsite QuickBooks training and troubleshooting, bookkeeping corrections, and flexible monthly, quarterly, or annual bookkeeping services.
