The Continuing Education department at Kishwaukee College is again offering its successful Leadership Development Program, titled True Leader – Leadership Development. The acclaimed program is being offered specifically for local Not-For- Profits (NFPs) and consists of three classes being offered this fall.
Participants may register for select classes or for the entire series. The True Leader program is being offered to local NFPs at no cost to them through a grant from the Kishwaukee College Foundation.
The three class modules offered this fall are:
- Emotional Intelligence on September 22 – True Leaders recognize that they lead people, not machines. This class covers the importance of learning to understand emotions in employee motivation, satisfaction, and productivity.
- Delegation/Employee Growth: Motivation and Coaching on October 20 – True Leaders know the importance of the delegation of duties that plays to each employee’s strengths and how that can promote team work for the common good of the team as well as the overall organization.
- Recognizing and Rewarding Employees in Meaningful Ways on November 30 – True Leaders are dedicated to creating a positive culture of appreciation to motivate, validate, and engage employees.
All classes meet from 8:00a.m. – noon and will be held in Room A1222 in the Kishwaukee College Conference Center.
