Ken Olson, physical therapist at Northern Rehab Physical Therapy Specialists, recently presented on the treatment of neck pain at the 2016 Annual American Physical Therapy Association Orthopaedic Section Meeting held in Atlanta, Georgia. Olson was invited to be part of a panel of internationally recognized experts in the treatment of neck pain, and the focus of his presentation was on treating patients with neck pain with mobility deficits using a combination of manual therapy techniques and specific therapeutic exercises. Olson also provided a hands-on instructional lab session in manual therapy techniques of the neck for the course participants at the meeting.
With over 27 years of clinical experience combined with fellowship training in manual physical therapy, Olson has developed a national and international reputation as an expert clinician, educator, and author in the examination and management of spinal and TMJ disorders. Olson is Board certified in orthopaedic physical therapy and highly respected in the field of manual therapy of the spine. He is also an adjunct faculty member at NIU and Marquette University’s doctor of physical therapy programs.
