Hey, juniors: It’s your turn!
Throughout this football season, NIU is launching a new initiative in the hopes of creating a tradition at Huskie Stadium. At each home game, a class of students will walk across the turf to the roar of the crowd as they welcome members of the NIU football team on to the field.
During the first home game in late August, a few hundred first-year students enjoyed this opportunity.
Juniors are invited Saturday, Oct. 18, to cheer the team onto Brigham Field.
Gather at 3:30 pm. at the Northeast Gate to Huskie Stadium. Intercollegiate Athletics staff members then will provide students with wrist bands to join the 3:45 p.m. procession. The Student Association plans to give a pair of Huskie sunglasses to every junior who reports for the procession.
NIU OneCards are required to stay and watch game for free.
