Students from Jefferson Elementary School and Tyler Elementary School worked together to deliver meals for a drive-thru dinner held this week. The two PTA/PTO’s decided to join forces to raise money for the schools. Joey Hager Moore, Jefferson PTA, reflected, “We decided to try something different, and approach Tyler about working together to raise money for both schools as an opportunity to develop parent and student relationships and support each other”.
Thank you to Inboden’s Meat Market, Hyvee, student ambassadors from both schools, parent/teacher volunteers and to our community for purchasing tickets which made this event possible!
“We are all one school district and hope to continue working with other elementary PTA/PTO’s to plan events, share ideas, and help support the students and teachers in District,” states Melissa Beck, Tyler PTO.
