It wouldn’t be Fat Tuesday without a paczki (pronounced “poonch-key” or “punch-key”), the yeasty, sugar-dusted Polish doughnuts that are filled with sweet jelly, cream, custard, pudding or fruit.
This year, Paczki Day is being celebrated on Tuesday, March 5, and good DeKalb County Online readers know that if you want to get your hands on this messy treat, you must plan ahead. Most area bakeries suggest ordering in advance to ensure availability (yes, these doughy delights go quick!).

Sweet Natalie’s Gluten Free Bakery Geneva

Yes!!!!!

Hummmmm….I donât recall you dropping one off for me…..

Not here in Arkansas 🙁

Not saying they aren’t yummy, but what makes them different from other “filled donuts”? (Aside from the variety of flavors)

I don’t know if they’re necessarily better. People just like enjoying holiday food traditions, such as turkey on Thanksgiving and corned beef and cabbage on St. Patrick’s Day.

Stephen Haberkorn ok, understood…thanks!

From Kay’s in Somonauk!

Neighborhood Bakery and Deli! Oh yeah!!!

Alas no, as I could not find a Polish bakery in DeKalb County.
