NIU Students are moving in today, Friday, August 22nd 2014 and classes begin on Monday the 25th. All DeKalb ‘townies’ might want to stay away from the busy happenings on the west end of town.
NIU Families though, have lots of choices of things to do today. Below are two welcome events:
Family Resource Fair & Dinner
While students are eating with their new floor-mates, families can join us for a casual dinner prior to the start of the official Huskie Family Welcome.
Parents and families of new students are also invited to attend a resource fair at the NIU Convocation Center. Take advantage of this opportunity to meet representatives from many student support services offices and to grab a bite to eat before attending the Huskie Famiy Welcome. RSVP’s for dinner can be made at Orientation or by contacting parents@niu.edu.
