Are there ways in which you typically welcome people into your home in your culture/tradition?
Come to Chai Chat to eat, relax and share what feeling welcome means to you and what NIU can do to make you feel more welcome here.
The Counseling & Student Development Center, in collaboration with the International Student & Faculty Office, Asian American Resource Center, NIU and ELS-DeKalb, offers Chai Chat, a casual get-together for international students and their friends.
All are welcome. There will be tea – Chai, of course – along with snacks and great conversation. Best of all, it is a great opportunity to meet other students and staff at NIU who realize that when everyone comes together, NIU feels more welcoming and warm.
This event is scheduled from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 9, in Room 100 of the Campus Life Building. No registration is required.
