The Sycamore City Council voted Monday night, to allow the old Brown’s County Market to be converted into a climate-controlled storage building. This change could permit other vacant buildings to be converted into storage centers, but the city set a minimum size of 10,000 square feet, to ensure that property owners don’t try to convert every spare nook and cranny of their buildings into rentable storage.
Franklin Investments also wants to convert the former Resource Bank branch on the site into a coffee shop; Family Dollar would continue to hold down the other end of the complex.

What a waste of space. I would think the people that live on the east side of Sycamore could use a grocery store not a self service storage space
Waste of a great space….but money talks.
Jan Clayton Bolander so much for Aldi
We hear the new Aldi is going in either the soon to be vacant Carson’s or that shopping center anyway….
Any more rumors on Meijer coming in?? It’s a no vote from me
Jan Clayton Bolander so much for Aldi…
Inside? Does that mean climate control to protect from harsh weather?
A fun way would be nice
Those are fun, but not to run! lol
At least itâs SOMETHING…
We want Wendy’s back!!!!!
Not a good spot for something like that. Needs to be a food spot.
Kinda thinking food didn’t work there anymore or Brown’s would still be there.

Truth is that the City does not care what happens to the east end of Sycamore.
