We’ve hit the peak of summer, and Independence Day (The 4th of July) is our 2nd favorite part of the summer – right behind Cornfest!
Like years previous, there are celebrations happening all week all around the county! Don’t miss out on the opportunity for food, music, good times, and of course Fireworks! Check out what’s going on below:
Kirkland 75th 4th of July (July 1-4): 75th Annual Kirkland Lions Club 4th of July Celebration that includes a carnival, live music, and the largest fireworks show in Northern Illinois! Wayland and Hinder are your headliners Saturday, July 1st! See the full list of activities and dates here.
Sandwich Freedom Days (July 1): The Sandwich Park District is proud to continue the tradition of presenting one of the finest parades. Watch the Sandwich and surrounding community groups and businesses take the opportunity to celebrate. The Parade will step off at 10am on July 1, 2023. See the full schedule here.
Shabbona 4th of July (July 4): Join the Village of Shabbona for their annual 4th of July Parade & Festival – start with pancake breakfast 7am-11am at the Shabbona Fire Department, Craft/Vendor Fair 9am-3pm, Cornhole tournament and Bingo start at 2pm, kid friendly activities and games, and from 4:30-sellout Shabbona Lion’s Club Porkchop drive-thru dinner.
