Let the Kishwaukee Symphony Orchestra (KSO) warm your hearts with the music of the holiday season this coming Friday, December 13th, 2013. Many holiday favorites, including Hayden’s Toy Symphony and a seasonal sing-along, are part of this traditional family concert. Who knows, maybe the “Big Guy in Red” will make an appearance.
The Kishwaukee Symphony Orchestra is a non-profit community orchestra which provides a place for area musicians to use their talents in an orchestral setting. The orchestra consists of professional, student, and dedicated amateur musicians. It began informally in 1976 and engages in weekly rehearsals and an annual series of concerts.
The Holiday Pops Concert takes place in Boutell Memorial Concert Hall inside the NIU Music Building and everyone in the community is welcome to attend. The concert will begin at 7:00pm. Visit the Kishwaukee Symphony Orchestra online now. This concert is supported in part by the George E. and Betty B. Dutton Foundation.
