As we move into the last days of summer, it is time to start harvesting some wonderful garden vegetables. The Sycamore History Museum is encouraging their younger visitors to join them for one last story time of the season, “Harvesting Garden Vegetables.” Children ages 3-6 are welcome to participate in the stories, songs, a craft and sampling of some of the vegetables grown in the Sycamore History Museum’s gardens.
“Our summer story times were so much fun. We always like to end with a class where children can see where their food comes from and how it grows in our gardens. The classes will be led by Cheryl Larson and Marge Johnson, who did such a wonderful job during the summer story times.” explained Michelle Donahoe, Executive Director of the Sycamore History Museum.
“Harvesting Garden Vegetables” will be held this Thursday, August 10 at 10:00am. Registration is suggested. This free class will be held at the Sycamore History Museum, 1730 N. Main Street, donations are welcome.
