The St. George Greek Orthodox Church in DeKalb will host its 40th Greek Fest this Saturday and Sunday, June 25th and 26th from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m. each day at the Hopkins Park shelter house, rain or shine, with plenty of indoor seating. Hear the music, watch the dancing, meet and enjoy the day with friends and enjoy the delicious Greek food prepared by the best area Greek cooks!!
Sink your teeth into savory Greek lamb spiced with oregano and rosemary, pork souvlaki and Greek chicken, large gyro sandwiches with onions and tzatziki sauce, patitsio, flaky spanakopita and flaming saganaki! Meals feature Greek salad and potatoes. An area inside the shelter house will feature all sorts of homemade Greek pastries including sweet, honey-rich baklava. Credit cards including Visa, MasterCard and Discover will be accepted. Carry-outs are available.
Greek Fest takes place at DeKalb Park District’s Hopkins Park, 1403 Sycamore Road in DeKalb. This fun, family friendly event is free and all in the community are invited to attend!
