Join the DeKalb Park District for an evening of pool-themed games, events and contests, aptly named, Poolapalooza! The fee to enter is $4 or a season pool pass. The non-stop aquatic action is wonderfully entertaining for both participants and spectators. Poolapalooza will go on this Friday, July 8th, at DeKalb’s Hopkin’s Park, 1403 Sycamore Road.

5:00 pm – Cannonball contest
5:30 pm – Inner tube water polo
6:00 pm – Biggest splash contest
6:15 pm – Sharks & Minnows
6:30 pm – Canoe Battleship

Then beginning at 8:00pm, come see the DeKalb Friday Family Movie in the Park! DeKalb Park District will be hosting a Friday Family Movie in the Park once a month over the summer. The family movie is shown on a GIANT inflatable movie screen in Hopkins Park near the bandshell.
This month’s show will be ‘Pixels’, Rated G. Admission is FREE. Bring a picnic, lawn chairs and blankets. Movie will begin at dusk, but come early for pre-movie activities. Hopkins Park is located at 1403 Sycamore Road in DeKalb.
