The Genoa Township Park District (GTPD) Board of Commissioners is soliciting applicants for a vacant board position. The Individual appointed to the position will hold office through April 2023 election. The Genoa Township Park District board consists of seven elected members who serve unsalaried four-year terms. Individuals considering an application must be a resident of Genoa Township and be a registered voter in DeKalb County.
Interested candidates can pick up a Candidate Application at the Park District office located at 400 E. Second Street in Genoa. You can also contact the park district at 815-784-5612 and ask for one to be mailed to you through regular mail or electronically.
The deadline for accepting candidates will be December 1st, 2019.
All applications will be reviewed by the Park Board and selected candidates might be asked to attend a Board Meeting and go through an interview process. The District reserves the right to accept or reject any and all applicants, waive the technicalities and select the individual that best meets the requirements of the Office of Park Board Commissioner and the needs of the Park District.
