The City of Genoa, IL is pleased to introduce Art Osten, Jr. as its new City Administrator. Mr. Osten earned two Master’s degrees, in Public Policy & Administration and Urban & Regional Planning, from the University of Wisconsin at Madison. He also has over thirty years of small-town local government experience, including fourteen years as Village Administrator in Fox River Grove, IL and is looking forward to building on the many accomplishments of the Genoa community and organization.
In addition to keeping current projects on track, Art is currently meeting with elected officials, staff, and community leaders to develop a prioritized list of goals and is familiarizing himself with Genoa’s programs and procedures. He will be in City Hall most Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays and invites residents and business owners to email, call, or stop by whenever they have a question, suggestion, or just to say hello.
The City of Genoa would also like to thank administrative and economic development consultant Bill Ganek for the enormous and highly complex work load he undertook after the sudden passing of Joe Misurelli. Genoa weathered a storm and came out stronger than before due to the hard work and diligence of Bill and for that they are truly grateful.
