This Wednesday, June 11, 2014 marks the kick off of the 79th Annual Genoa Days festival, sponsored by the Genoa-Kingston Fire Department. Genoa Days runs this Wednesday through Saturday and includes nightly entertainment and Skinners Amusements starting at 6pm each night for all to enjoy. Bingo will also be held each evening by the Genoa Lions Club.
Wednesday there will be a DJ from 6pm to 10pm with a break from 8-8:30 for the annual King and Queen Contest on stage. On Thursday, June 12th, The Paul & Jay Du O will play acoustic rock from 6:30-9:30pm. The carnival will have kids wristband night Thursday for $16 each. Friday June 13th, hear SYNOD on stage from 6:30-9:30.
On Saturday Bretts’s Run/Walk 5K starts at 8:30am. At 10:30am check out the 4H Children’s Pet Show. The Genoa Days Parade begins at 1pm in downtown Genoa. From 2pm-6pm Saturday is a kids wristband afternoon for $16 each. Beth Fowler School of Dance will be on stage from 3-4pm. Genoa Days finishes off with Wade Buzzard and The Crossroad Band playing rock and roll from 6-10pm.
