Genoa’s Main Street closes today at 11am in preparation for their annual Genoa Days. This year Genoa will celebrate the 80th Annual Genoa Days! The dates of the festival will be Wednesday, June 10th-Saturday, June 13th, 2015. The Genoa-Kingston Fire Department is a nonprofit organization that hosts Genoa Days as a fundraiser each year, to support the community with new equipment, gear, vehicles, and other fire equipment.
Skinners Amusements will be providing the carnival again this year. There will be the annual King and Queen contest Wednesday evening at 8pm and live music nightly! Bring the family out for the rides, games, food, bands and a parade.
Brett’s Run 5K is always on the Saturday morning of Genoa Days. For more information about Brett’s Run can be found here: www.BrettsRun.org. Also on Saturday, there will be a 4H Children’s Pet Show at 10:30am and the Parade at 1pm.
Live music includes on Thursday the 11th, the band Towes from 6:30pm-9:30pm; on Friday the 12th, The Wade Buzzard Band 6:30pm-9:30pm; Saturday 13th, Beth Fowler dance school performance 4:00p-5:00pm, and The Beaux 6:00pm-10:00pm.
