It is back to school time at the Sycamore History Museum. Julie Dresser will be teaching her six week genealogy class at the Sycamore History Museum starting on Thursday, September 12th, 2013. She will start with an overview of genealogy and then get into specific areas to research each week. Topics will include: local and national repositories; finding your family in the census; birth, marriage and death records; home sources; military records and much more.
Evaluations from previous classes agree that the information Dresser shares is good for those just starting to research their family as well as for those who have been working on their genealogy for years. The classes will be from 7:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Thursdays at the Museum, 1730 N. Main Street. There is a $25 charge, and registration is required. To register call 815-895-5762 or email info@sycamorehistory.org
