The public is invited to an estate planning seminar, “Keep Your Estate From Shrinking & Keep Peace in the Family,” a collaborative program to help participants plan for their financial futures, maximize their estates, and ways to consider benefiting the community. The seminar will be held on Thursday, May 8, from 6:30 to 8:30 pm at the DeKalb County Farm Bureau, 1350 W. Prairie Drive, Sycamore.
The seminar features Marc Carmichael, JD, President of the R & R Newkirk Company. Carmichael has worked in the field of charitable gift planning for 38 years. Participants will learn how to make the most of their savings and grasp an understanding of: estate shrinkage from taxes and probate costs, ten events that can make an estate plan obsolete, estate planning that keeps peace in the family, worthwhile causes to consider in an estate plan, and recent developments in tax and financial planning.
