Portions of the City of DeKalb are under an elevated flooding risk due to heavy rains, officials said Tuesday. Interim Public Works Director John Laskowski said that residents should be aware of the potential for flash flooding within City limits and beyond.
The Police non-emergency dispatch number is (815) 748-8400 and should be called for after-hours inquiries. Laskwoski said sandbags will be available at the City of DeKalb Water Department, 1216 Market starting at 6 p.m. Monday night.

Making me nervous. Contemplating grabbing sandbags but I am in summit enclave townhomes (near lowe’s) and I’m not too sure how likely it is the river will impact me. Ugh!
