Members of the National Bank and Trust of Sycamore (NB&T) gathered with Developer PG Architects and City Officials to officially break ground on the first private development in Downtown DeKalb since the completion of the multi-year public improvement project earlier this year.
NB&T will be moving from their 3rd Street Location to a new, two-story, 8,000 sq.ft. building located next to Walgreen’s at the corner of Lincoln Highway and First Street. The project is expected to be completed by the Summer of 2012.

Well it going on and low and behold it is a bank doing it. is nice to see some new construction
Which is not the case with a bank. Shame to see the structures knocked down in order to put a new one up.
Question really is who or what will occupy the space on N. 3rd Street where NB&T is currently atill help add some positive EAV to the tax rolls, well at least it will help replace the EAV that Micro Solutions once brought in at the location although Micro Solutions did also at one time provide our community with sales tax revenue ?
