If you haven’t been to a DeKalb County Liners Collegiate Baseball game yet, this is the weekend to go. The season is winding down and they have two great promotions going on this weekend.
FIREWORKS! Yep! You heard that right! After the Liners game tonight, Friday, July 22nd, they’ll have a fireworks display for you, the loyal Liners fans. So, come on out and see the guys light up the scoreboard and then watch fireworks light up the sky. That’s Friday, July 22, at 7:05, when the DeKalb County Liners take on the Lorain County Ironmen.
Second promotion … old-tyme baseball! What IS that? Well, it’s baseball the way it was played way back in the 1860s, including uniforms and NO GLOVES!! On Saturday, July 23rd at 5pm, the Somonauk Blue Stockings and Creston Regulators will play an exhibition game prior to the Liners game against the Lorain County Ironmen at 7pm. If you’ve never seen baseball played this way … you’re missing out on a piece of history!
Come on out and enjoy a Liner’s game this weekend for great family fun. All home games are played at Sycamore Park at Airport Rd. and Rt. 64 in Sycamore. Visit their website or join them on Facebook for much more information.
