Feed’em Soup Community Project is pleased to announce that is has been granted a special license from the State of Illinois allowing the organization to host bingo games. The first night of bingo at Feed’em Soup Community Project will be held on Friday, June 5, 2015, and will be held each consecutive Friday thereafter with games beginning at 6pm.
Feed’em Soup Community Project was launched in 2010 and has expanded to offer 400+ free meals each week. In April 2015, the non-profit organization relocated to a restaurant space on Lincoln Highway in downtown DeKalb, and now, Feed’em Soup offers 4 meals per week and a pop-up pantry at various points throughout the week. Guests at the restaurant enjoy a buffet-style selection of freshly cooked, balanced meals, and while there is no charge, guests who would like to donate are welcome to.
Starting on June 5, 2015, people can come to Feed’em Soup for bingo every Friday. A free salad and snack bar will be available beginning at 5pm. Bingo starts at 6pm, and cards are $1 each. 14 rounds of bingo are planned, including two jackpot rounds, with a 10-minute intermission in the middle. Guests will enjoy classic bingo, 4 corners bingo, x bingo, and outside edge bingo. Prize winnings will be split 50/50 between Feed’em Soup and the winner for cards sold for that round. Each round’s winnings are capped, and excess funds are donated to the Feed’em Soup mission. More information will soon be available at http://www.feedemsoup.org.

Will we need a parking garage or just more shuttle bus stops? Just joking. This is a great idea and plan for raising funds for the work they do. Glad to see they got the license.
