On 6/11/15 at approximately 9:12am the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office, along with the Kirkland Fire Department, responded to Baseline Road west of Irene Road for a report of a one vehicle roll over crash. A nearby resident heard the crash and called 911. The driver of the vehicle, Kingston resident, Robert J. Bolz, (D.O.B. 10/02/61) was pronounced dead on the scene by the Cornoner’s Office.
Preliminary investigation showed the vehicle drove off the shoulder to the right. The driver over corrected the steering which caused the vehicle to flip and come to a rest on the roof. The crash is still under investigation by the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office and Coroner’s Office.
