Enjoy a day of fun with art, music, and good food on the grounds of the Ellwood House Museum at the 48th Annual Ellwood House Ice Cream Social this Sunday, August 6th, 2017, from 10:00 am – 4:00 pm. The day will feature 15 artist booths, first floor tours of the Ellwood Mansion and Ellwood-Nehring House from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., live music by the DeKalb Municipal Band at 2:30 p.m., educational programming, delicious ice cream, displays by the DeKalb Area Garden Club and Kishwaukee Valley Art League, special history programs, and hands-on art activities for youth.
Learn to hand-churn your own ice cream! During this year’s Ice Cream Social, children are invited to make their own ice cream sundae just like the Ellwoods and their staff did 100 years ago. All ages are welcome. The Ellwood House is located at 509 N. First St. in DeKalb.
