Area residents may bring in old computers and other outdated electronics to the collection in DeKalb this Saturday, Saturday, October 6, 2012, 2012. Electronics will be accepted from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. (or until the trailer space is filled) at at the City of DeKalb Parking Lot located at South Fourth St. and Grove in downtown DeKalb. ID is required.
County residents can bring in any object that plugs into a wall socket or has a battery (Cell/home phones, computers, cameras, VCRs, satellite receivers, lamps, refrigerators, etc.)
• Cardboard and plastic (Containers and/or packaging materials)
• Batteries (all types)
• Scrap metal
• TVs and monitors
The Electronics Collection Day is open to any individual or business. There are no limitations to the amount of electronics which can be brought in. This collection program is free. The Electronics Collection program is being sponsored by the DeKalb County Health Department Solid Waste Management Program and the DeKalb County Farm Bureau.
