The Egyptian Theatre in downtown DeKalb needs your help this fall. The theatre is looking for volunteers that are fun, enthusiastic, and looking to make a difference in the DeKalb community. The Egyptian can never have too many volunteers. Ticket Validators, Concessions, Ushers, Technical Help, and many more volunteers are needed.
Beginning this fall, the theatre will be requiring all of the volunteers, new and returning, to attend at least one of the following training/orientation sessions to help mitigate safety concerns when patrons are in the building. The theatre wants the volunteers to be stewards of the theatre and what better way to do this then by giving a brief history of the theatre, a tour of the facility, as well as the basics of each position. They invite you to attend one of the sessions to learn more about the roles and responsibilities of an Egyptian Theatre volunteer.
The upcoming orientation dates include:
Saturday, September 16, 2017 from 10:00am-11:30am
Wednesday, September 20, 2017 from 6:30pm-8:00pm
Saturday, September 30, 2017 from 10:00am-11:30am
For any questions, comments, or concerns please feel free to reach out to Brandon at volunteer@egyptiantheatre.org or by phone at (815)758-1215. Although it is not required to RSVP, if you would like to let them know when you are planning to attend, you may do so.
