NIU’s executive vice president and chief of operations for finance and facilities, Eddie Williams, released a statement through his attorney today stating he has no idea why he is a subject of interest in the FBI investigation into the Northern Illinois Police Department.
On March 6, 2013, the FBI, Illinois State Police, the Department of Education, as well as the Department of Housing and Urban Development executed a search warrant on the campus of Northern Illinois University in DeKalb.
The search warrant (linked below) includes police department files dating back to January 2005 as well as all records relating to Edens Gardens subdevelopment.
