Gain in-depth knowledge about beer, it’s history and even the brewing process. As well as the breweries and their beers. Enjoy the local fare, with discounts!
Meet new and interesting people, take in some of Dekalb’s storied history during the walks, all while sampling the best beverage in the world…beer!!!!

A unique brewpub, drawing its name and concept from the local history of the town it is in, to create a truly ‘local’ atmosphere. Tangled Roots is the proud home of ‘Farm to Foam’ beer in Illinois, crafting unique local brews made exclusively from hops and barley grown on their farm in Ottawa, IL.
BYERS BREWING COMPANY
A local family-owned brewery. They brew small batches of hand-crafted lagers & IPAs made right in the heart of downtown DeKalb, Illinois! They’ve got tunes playing and room for friends and family. Board games for all ages and a kids play area!
FORGE BREWHOUSE
Forge Brewhouse is a production & distribution brewery with an onsite taproom. Sample the latest 13 beers on tap and their famous root beer on tap at all times.
