UPDATE: As of 2:30p.m. this afternoon ReNew DeKalb was notified that construction on Lincoln Hwy. sidewalks is back on schedule for next week …starting Wednesday, May 19th.
Contractors will be on sight on Tuesday to remove benches and garbage cans. Wednesday will mark the start of the significant work on the sidewalks in first block between 1st and 2nd Street on the south side of Lincoln Hwy.
All roadways and parking lots will be open. Parking between 1st and 2nd Street on the south side of Lincoln Hwy will be closed. ALL BUSINESS WILL BE ACCESSIBLE!

The Lincoln Highway project is still anticipated to be completed by August 14, 2010 at this time.

Dont tell me, they are going to complete the "Bricked" sidewalks?
Nice! now the ice and snow will never get cleared properly… not that the company that the city has contracted has ever done a "Good" job, but now they are going to be tearing the bricks out of the sidewalk with their bobcats creating even more issues…
