Plan to go to NIU’s STEMfest this Saturday, October 21st, from 10am until 5pm in the NIU Convocation Center. STEMfest is a free community event that packs NIU’s Convocation Center with hands-on interactive exhibits, activities, and competitions to help k-12 students, their families, and the community, to explore science, technology, engineering, and math. People of all ages have fun while learning more about STEM careers and innovations. The event is free and open to the public.

STEMfest celebrates innovations in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). Northern Illinois University STEM departments, student groups, regional corporations, museums, educators, and national labs are joining forces to present hundreds of activities that range in complexity to entertain people of all ages. The goal is to increase awareness of the critical role science and other STEM fields play in our world every day.
