DeKalb School District 428 will host two community support meetings for families and teachers this Sunday and Monday nights concerning the arrest of a teacher charged with sexual contact involving students. The meetings will be held at Westminster Presbyterian Church at 830 Annie Glidden Road in DeKalb, beginning at 6:00pm both nights. Families and staff members are welcome to attend.
These events were scheduled in the wake of the arrest of 36-year-old Andrew Arison on March 12th; he faces charges of aggravated criminal sexual abuse, for alleged inappropriate contact with two students at Huntley Middle School. He is also charged with predatory criminal sexual assault of a child, involving a third victim from the previous school year, and multiple counts of possession of child pornography.
