Grief Support Group

Join others going through grief and loss and receive support in a safe and confidential setting with facilitation from the Family Service Agency of DeKalb County. In this ongoing grief support group, you will have the opportunity to share your experiences with grief, receive insight from peers and the facilitator on the grieving process, and learn more about grief. This group is open to adults experiencing grief from any loss, no matter where they are on this journey. This grief support group does not replace other mental health services. If you need individual counseling or other mental health services, call 211 to find support in your area. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis or need immediate attention for a non-life-threatening mental health need, please call 988. If you or someone you know is in immediate danger, please call 911. This support group is free and intended for adults. No registration is required. The Life & Legacy of Stevie Ray Vaughan

From his debut performances with the Nightcrawlers in March 1973 to the release of his final studio album, The Sky Is Crying, Stevie Ray Vaughan revolutionized the sound of Texas blues. After forming the power trio, Double Trouble, in May 1978, he took the Texas club circuit by storm. During this program, we will discuss the life and legacy of an artist whose musical influence is still being strongly felt today. We will look back at his early years and his debut album, Texas Flood, and continue exploring highlights from his exciting musical career, up until his untimely death in a helicopter crash in East Troy, Wisconsin on August 27, 1990. International Cheese Tasting

Learn how to pair your cheeses with drinks (like wine) and how to incorporate cheese into your meals. Participants will be able to sample cheeses while supplies last.
