The DeKalb Park District is pleased to announce the appointment of Amy Doll, CPRP, as the District’s new Executive Director. The Board of Commissioners unanimously appointed Doll to the position during a Special Board Meeting, held on Thursday, May 5th.
Doll was hired by the Park District in September of 2014 as the Superintendent of Recreation where she has led initiatives including working with staff to develop and implement community special events such as Polarpalooza, Daddy Daughter Date Night, Cardboard Boat Regatta and Howl-o-ween. Doll also led initiatives with recreation staff to bring online registration to the DeKalb Park District and implement new programs such as volleyball, pickleball and lacrosse. Doll has been serving as Interim Director since early March.

Prior to her tenure with the DeKalb Park District, Doll’s extensive professional background in Parks and Recreation, includes over ten years with the Champagne Park District and three years with the Family YMCA of Northwest Illinois. Doll’s education includes a Bachelors in Mathematics from the University of Illinois and Masters in Recreation Administration from the University of Illinois. She also holds the professional designation of Certified Parks and Recreation Professional (CPRP) from the National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA).
