
A DeKalb man was arrested by DeKalb County Deputies early Saturday morning in rural Earlville following a crash in the 2400 block of Benson Road.
Police say 24-year-old Juwan Lenoir, of DeKalb, is charged with driving under the influence of alcohol. Lenoir was also ticketed for improper lane use, driving with a suspended license, and driving an uninsured motor vehicle. Lenoir additionally was named in an Ogle County warrant for driving uninsured.
Deputies were called to the 2400 block of Benson for a report of a loud noise and a vehicle in a field that had possible rolled over in an accident. The vehicle then drove out of the field and parked on the roadway. Deputies arrived to find the vehicle, missing its front bumper, with its airbags deployed.
Lenoir, and two passengers, were treated on-scene by paramedics. Police say Lenoir told them he was heading home to DeKalb from Somonauk and missed the curve in the road. He allegedly admitted to consuming alcohol earlier.
After further investigation Lenoir was arrested and charged with DUI, and the other charges. He was taken to the Sandwich Police Department where he posted bond to be released.
