DeKalb’s Fourth Ward looks forward to a new beginning with the April 9 consolidated elections. Brendon Gallagher decided to spend more time with his family after four years of service on the DeKalb city council.
Two candidates are seeking to replace Gallagher. James Mitchell, a former District 428 school board member, private investigator and limousine service owner. Robert Snow, who retired from NIU after a career as an accountant and an attorney and is currently owner/operator in the hospitality/tourism industry, Parkside Bed and Breakfast.
Snow has Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting & Business Administration from Augustana College, a Masters of Business Administration and a Juris Doctor in Law from NIU. Mitchell has a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications Research and Development from Southern Illinois University.
