The DeKalb Firefighters Historical Foundation would like to invite all members of the
community to a Pancake Breakfast and Open House this Sunday, October 15, 2017. The
breakfast will be held at DeKalb Fire Station #1 (700 Pine Street), beginning at 8:00 a.m.
and ending at 12:00 p.m. The price of the breakfast will be adults $5.00, kids 4-10 $3.00,
and kids 4 and under eat free.
Proceeds from the breakfast will help gather, preserve, and maintain historical items from
and about the DeKalb Fire Department. This breakfast will be held in conjunction with
an Open House at Station #1 to kick off Fire Prevention Month.
Along with breakfast, attractions will include:
- Static display of various fire apparatus and rescue equipment (both current and
antique) - DeKalb Fire Department Safety House
- Bouncy house for the kids
- Historical slide show in the Firehouse basement
