Russ… this is the 2010 story… in 2011 the tradition continues at Hopkins Park in DeKalb. The DeKalb Municipal Band (Dee Palmer, Director) will perform in the bandshell before and during the fireworks. Fireworks at dusk are co-sponsored by the DeKalb Park District and City of DeKalb. There’s booths filled with food, crafts and fun vendors. Come early to get a good spot.
So is Dekalb having fireworks this year? Please elaborate.
Thank you

Ditto here. Tried to find out about 4th of July fireworks for the family – zilch. Hard to make plans if you have nothing to plan for.
I agree, Ivan, they need an Events page, don't they?
Hey, went to the DeKalb Park District site and no information for the 4th of July. What do I have to look under to find it. Thought it would be in the wide open.
Great job, Gracie!
