The Public is invited to help the DeKalb County Board thank the Kirkland Fire Department, the Village of Kirkland Officials, Kirkland Lions Club, AmeriCorps, the Salvation Army, the American Red Cross, the DeKalb County Departments, including the Sheriff’s and ESDA Offices, the DeKalb County Community Foundation, the Samaritan’s Purse, Team Rubicon, among the many other volunteers who aided the victims of the tornado in Fairdale, Illinois this past six weeks. Monetary Donations will be accepted for the victims of the Fairdale Tornado and their long-term recovery process.
The event will take place at the DeKalb County Legislative Center, 200 N. Main Street, in Sycamore from 4:30-7:30 this Wednesday, May 20th, 2015. Donations will be taken at the door and you can make your check out to: “DeKalb County Disaster Recovery Fund” and in the memo portion of the check please write “Fairdale Area Tornado.” If you can’t make the event, you can mail your check to the DeKalb County Community Foundation, 475 DeKalb Avenue, Sycamore, IL 60178.
Come for some free food and drinks, and thank the men and women that helped our neighbors in time of a disaster.
