Join both the DeKalb County Democratic and DeKalb County Republican parties as they go face-to-face in the first charity softball game to benefit the Kishwaukee United Way at 6:00 pm on Friday, August 2 at Suppeland Park (off Somonauk Road) in Cortland. This event is free and open to the public.
“We love the idea of the two parties coming together to promote and support Kishwaukee United Way’s widespread community efforts in DeKalb County!” said Dawn Littlefield of Kishwaukee United Way.
Community members coming to cheer on either party are encouraged to bring chairs and blankets to sit and enjoy the game. There will be a 50/50 raffle at the event to benefit the Kishwaukee United Way.
