The DeKalb County Democratic Party will meet at the Lion’s Shelter in the Sycamore Park District Sports Complex at 483 Airport Rd, Sycamore on Thursday, June 17 starting at 6 p.m.
The world is opening up and after months of Zoom meetings the DeKalb County Democratic Party is going back to in-person monthly meetings and looking to increase membership.
“The DeKalb County Democrats is an inclusive organization and we welcome any Democrats that would like to join us,” Kori Rempfer, Chair, DeKalb County Democratic Party said “We are so excited to be getting back to in person meetings and can’t wait to see everyone this Thursday “
An hour prior to the start of the business meeting at 7 p.m. there will be refreshments and conversation starting at 6 p.m.
A political book exchange will be held at each meeting, if someone has a book they have finished they can bring it along for someone else to take home and read and can pick up another book to read themselves.
The meeting at 7 p.m. will start with short presentations on the history of PRIDE and Juneteenth followed by the regular meeting business of the DeKalb County Democratic Party.
There will be a door prize drawing for all of those attending the meeting, individuals are encouraged to bring a friend and both will get an extra entry into the drawing.
All Democrats are welcome to attend meetings.
