St. James Religious Education FundWe are pleased to announce the St. James Religious Education Fund. The Fund is a tribute to William and Emiline Rood, parents of Kathy Spears, and provides ongoing financial support to St. James Catholic Church (Lee) to cover costs associated with religious education in the parish.

Spinoso Scholarship AwardedCongratulations to the 2021 Spinoso Masters Scholarship recipients. This year, $30,000 is divided among four individuals pursuing Master’s or Doctoral level education. The recipients are Kayla Baum, Jacob Bjork, Alma Lazaro, and Zachary Stepanski.

Olsen Receives 2021 Palmer ScholarshipCongratulations to Karl Olsen of DeKalb High School, recipient of the 2021 Palmer Family Music Education Scholarship award. The award is made possible each year through the Palmer Music Family Scholarship Fund. Over the last 13 years, the Fund has awarded $33,401 in music education scholarships.

Building Leadership Through InternshipsThe Internship Program is a collaboration between the DeKalb County Nonprofit Partnership, the Center for Nonprofit Studies, and Career Services at Northern Illinois University, supported by the Douglas C. and Lynn M. Roberts Family Foundation. This partnership develops a local leadership pipeline while benefitting DCNP-member organizations.
Mumm Receives 2021 Renaissance ScholarshipCongratulations to Jeremy Mumm, recipient of the 2021 Renaissance Scholarship. The $1,000 scholarship award will assist Jeremy as he pursues a degree in nursing from Kishwaukee College.Thank you to donor Yvonne Johnson for making this possible!
